We can’t say enough good things about working with Alyce. 

We have renovated our homes on numerous occasions and our experience with Alyce was by far the best. By being both the designer and the general contractor, the buck stops with Alyce and she runs a VERY tight ship. The work was completed on time and on budget and it all turned out beautifully. In fact we added quite a bit of work to the project as we went (isn’t that always the way?) and she still somehow got us back in the house on time. I don’t think there was a single down weekday over the five months it took, and work was also often being done on the weekends. Alyce is refreshingly responsive and proactive; she noticed things elsewhere in the house that needed fixing (central vac, eaves, etc.), and took the initiative to get us quotes to get them fixed. Both she and her trades are highly skilled, professional, trustworthy and easy to work with. All in all, the experience was extremely positive and we are looking forward to working with Alyce on any future renovations.   

I always wanted to have the opportunity to have Alyce design our space. After seeing her finished work at 378 Fairlawn Avenue, it was even more evident that we wanted her help if the opportunity arose. Early 2020, we went to view a house that needed “some” work. Alyce made herself available immediately to help us understand what was possible before we even registered an offer. While we were successful in getting the house, the closing was right when the pandemic hit. Alyce made our house a home with a full renovation with nothing left untouched… all during a time with restrictions and material shortages.

Alyce’s ability to ideate and challenge the possible with design is evident in our home. She ensures her understanding of how we will use the space and everything is done thoughtfully to maximize efficiency and space, as well as looking fantastic and magazine worthy. In addition to her architectural and design eye, she has a great team of trades that kept things in track… and in some cases corrected other unplanned surprises that an old home can deliver.

Alyce made sure throughout the process that she was open and available to answer all questions and made sure we were confident and understand the process.

I would highly recommend Alyce for any job, large or small. You won’t regret the finished results!

We were thankful to be referred to Alyce by a friend who had used her services with great satisfaction.  We retained Alyce to reconfigure rooms on two separate occasions in our home.  We used Alyce for a recently purchased condo where we now live.  Alyce used her excellent architectural skills to renovate and make the space much more functional and liveable.  Her keen eye for light and design is one of the reasons we have continued to use her and would happily refer her.

I have worked with Alyce on a number of projects in three different homes. She’s redesigned bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms and decorated bedrooms and living rooms. She has an extraordinary talent for seeing how space can be reconfigured to become a whole new amazing entity. Her colour sense is impeccable. When architecturally designing she pays attention to all of the details to achieve a functional and attractive space. She listens to what you want a room to be or do, and has an unerring sense of how to make all the demands work. I happily recommend Alyce.

During the process of building our new home, we were lucky to have the privilege of working with our designer Alyce Drenth, owner of Creative Avenues. Alyce is extremely professional, talented and very knowledgeable in her work. She designed the floor plans for our house and was actively involved in the construction process. She coordinated the schedule for all the contractors, keeping everyone on track and checking in frequently to make sure that the work was getting done properly and on schedule. The selection processes for all of the required interior design, furniture and accessories as well as the exterior components of a home can be an overwhelming experience; however, with the able assistance of Alyce, the process was extremely enjoyable. She did a fabulous job of balancing her eye for design with our tastes as clients. We love the end results…she truly built us our dream home from the outside to the inside. We would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to be assured of getting an excellent job!

Alyce quickly became an ally and a friend as we renovated just about every part of our home.  We trusted her to find the right style, layout, materials and furniture to complement the space.
